Gérard Tobelem is a former haematology professor at Paris 7 University and former Head of the department of blood disorders at the Lariboisière hospital in Paris, as well as past Executive Chairman of the French Blood Establishment. Gérard Tobelem’s research work was recognized when, in 2006, he was awarded the first Diderot Innovation prize. He has practised strategic functions within the French Ministry of Higher Education and Research and has also advised different international pharmaceutical companies in their R&D strategies.
